FEATURED SPEAKERS:
Suzanne Marble
In Suzanne’s three decades as a head coach, Marble redefined success in Washington State sports, creating an expectation of greatness that transcends volleyball. A hallmark of consistency and loyalty, Marble led the La Conner Braves to 24 league championships, including 21 consecutive titles dating back to 2002. In total, La Conner volleyball recorded 574 total wins under Marble’s tutelage and made 27 consecutive State tournament appearances, earning Academic State Champions three times along the way. Marble was named Northwest A/B Coach of the Year 15 times to go along with her three State Coach of the Year plaques. For her efforts, she was inducted into the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2015 and was also name the Skagit Valley Herald Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2022. On top of her contributions to the La Conner community, Marble has lent her services outside of her team and region, serving as a member of the WSCA and WSVBCA as an ISA Representative. In 2022, Marble was recognized as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Regional and National Coach of the Year. In 2023 Marble was inducted into the WIAA Hall of Fame. But for all of her success on the courts, Marble’s greatest interest and longest-lasting achievement has been her impact on the lives of the young women she has coached.

Martine Wodke
Beginning at a young age, Martine has taken the sport of volleyball to a new level in the city of Eugene, through her contributions to both the club volleyball and high school volleyball scenes. As an educator first, Martine coaches in a manner that helps young woman to grow as people, players and teammates. She has spent 17 years as a Varsity coach, splitting time between her 9 seasons at Churchill High School and 8 seasons at Sheldon High School. Over the course of those 17 years, she has 325 wins, appearing 11 times in the OSAA state tournament. She has led her teams to a state title in 2022 in addition to a runner-up finish in 2012. With all the demonstrated success thus far, she has been recognized throughout her coaching career with various accolades: 14-time League Coach of the Year, OACA Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2022, and NFHS Oregon Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2024. Not only in the coaching world does Martine push to impact students in their pursuit of volleyball excellence, she also does so in her role as the Director of Ops for Webfoot Junior Volleyball Club in Eugene – a 25-year in the running prestigious club that supports local girls ages 10-18. Her active pursuit to create a strong, affordable, inclusive volleyball community across the county does not go unnoticed. The commitment to uplifting and empowering the confidence of young women can be seen throughout the volleyball landscape state-wide.
